The quality control procedures at Nature's Needs are unrivaled. The Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) approves Nature's Needs Humus for use in organic growing. We use a variety of on-site procedures and independent labs to test the following:

1. Our windrows must heat up to at least 135 degrees for 7-10 days. This is to kill weed and fruit seeds, root-feeding nematodes, E. coli, and Salmonella.
2. Pesticide Residue Testing
3. Clopyralid Testing (Clopyralid is a persistent herbicide used in the landscaping business.)
4. Heavy Metals testing
5. Nutrient specifications testing
6. Micro life enumeration and diversity testing
7. Pathogen inhibition testing (used to suppress disease in vineyards, landscaping, nurseries, horticulture, agriculture, and home gardens).
